What do you think of the meanings of these names?
I dont' think the meaning of a name matters at all. Who cares?! No one even knows the meaning of anyone's name, except maybe their own. Still, most names with meanings are very old and the meaning shouldn't have anything to do with how much you like a name.





Jennifer Lee - I think this name is VERY out-dated and boring. Lee is a more masculine form of Leigh, which might make the name slightly better.





Kylie Danielle - I'm neutral on both these names, but Kylie is really trendy and Danielle is just okay.





Mary Isabella - Isabella is too popular, even though it's a pretty name. Definitely don't use it as a first name. Mary seems plain, even though it's easy and classic.





Adela Claire - Eh.





Gracie Sophia - OMG. DO NOT name her Gracie!!! Grace can be called Gracie as a nickname, but for her sake PLEASE don't make her legal name Gracie. What happens when she's 30 years old, trying to be a professional and her name is Gracie!? Sophia is okay, but super popular.

Reply:I like Adela Claire, especially with Addy as a nickname. Both of those names were on my short list, but vetoed by my husband. I don't remember their meaning anymore though. However, I didn't pick any names where I didn't like the meanings. We ended up going with Aya Brynne, but she was several hours old before we finally decided. :D
