Does anybody know what does Ryuk, Rem, Sidoh, and Gelus means.

I think Gelus is just a re-spelling of "jealous". I don't know about the other Shinigami, but I know Kira is both based off of "killer" (or the gangsta-speak "killa" (which is mentioned in one of the convicts' notes), since Japanese often confuse r's and l's), and also means "sparkle" which may refer to the pristine image he has of himself and the screen he puts up to reply to the 2nd Kira.
