Can any Greece speaker tell the names of the following books in English with their meanings:?

Περίόρών; Περίπλους’ Ασίας; Περιήγησις; Περί τών κατά τήν’ Ασίαν Φόρων (please also refer to: http://www.ancientlibrary.com/greek-lit/... These are the alleged writings by Ctesias but seems nobody has much knowledge about them! Very appreciated!

Can any Greece speaker tell the names of the following books in English with their meanings:?
Περιορών = (if this is the correct spelling) Looking around, surveying

Alternatively, "Περί ορών" (two words) might be a variant form meaning "About mountains"

Περίπλους Ασίας = Voyage around Asia

Περιήγησις = Tour

Περί των κατά την Ασία Φόρων = On the Persian revenue system.

The first three are geographical works, whereas the last is part of Ctesias of Cnidus extensive treatises on the Persian Empire. The accuracy of most of Ctesias' works (and especially the latter) were considered controversial even in antiquity. None of them survive to the present day, except in fragment form.
Reply:I would not put much stock on what Ctesias has written or what's left of his "work". He was not held in high esteem from his contemporaries. Having said that, one may deduce that he was "correct" and unpopular because of it.
Reply:Well let;s see....

Περιορών = observating,looking around

Περίπλους Ασίας = a trip around Asia

Περιήγησις = Trip,tour(with the meaning of a guide or sth)

Περί τών κατά την Ασίαν Φόρων = for the Asian revenue system

The first three are sth like geographical books and but the last one talks about Satrapes and so on... the "revenue system in Asia"

Hope I helped you

;)
