Spelling of Naphtali in Hebrew? meanings of names per value of letter?

Not using actual Hebrew characters. Would I just drop the vowels or am I missing something else?

Also in my study I have always seen names and words having a simple meaning and a larger maybe deeper meaning, for example the Hebrew word kaf means either "cloud" or "palm of the hand". The Hebrew letter kav is the first letter of the word kippah. The is in refernce to one of the reasons of wearing a Kippah within Hasidism, Ha-Shem covers us with His Divine Palm.

In Hebrew, Naphtali means "[You] persuaded me", because Billah, Jacob's third wife, persuaded Jacob to have a son with her, and so they did and Rachel (I believe) named him thus because of this; because he is only Jacob's son because he was persuaded by Billah to have him with her.

the i is for the letter yod (讬) which is kind of like a vowel, especially in ends of words.





kaf doesn't mean cloud. cloud is "annan" (注谞谉).


the wird kaf (讻祝) has 2 meaning - 1 is like you said, the palm of the hand. and the secomd meaning is spoon.





and sorry, i have no idea about the kippah thing, i don't understand too much in religion adn bible... haha...
